Mahalia Jackson is acclaimed the world's greatest gospel singer and queen of gospel music.  Hers is the story of the "golden era of gospel music."  The book explores her formative years in New Orleans to her professional and political ties in Chicago.  In commemoration of the 50th year anniversary of her death, this book is about a legend, written in the words of Dr. C. Charles Clency, her last accompanist.

The Handbook of Gospel Music and MAHALIA: In the Words of Her Last Accompanist are available on Amazon. The third book, 100 Years of Music in the Chicago Black Church will be available late 2025.
